Deliciously Ella app

The Deliciously Ella App is out, which is so exciting! In it’s first month it had 17,000 downloads which was just so overwhelming and incredible. Just like the blog the app is all about celebrating natural, healthy food. It has over a hundred simple, easy to follow recipes, plus five different detox menu plans lasting either three or five days. It makes healthy eating even easier as you can have it with you all the time, keeping you happy and energised!

As the iPhone add was so successful we are currently creating an android version, which I’m hoping to be able to share with you at the end of April!

Features of the App:

- Over 100 simply, easy to follow recipes with clear instructions
- Timing and serving number for each recipe
- 5 different detox menus lasting either 3 or 5 days
- Vegan, vegetarian, paleo, sugar free, gluten free, dairy free friendly
- Share recipes and ingredients by email or on Facebook and twitter
- Save your favourite recipes so that they’re easy to find
- Designed for iPhone iOS7 (sadly we have to design it for the latest software so if you don’t have it you need to download it to get the app, sorry!)

    Smoothies look wonderful.
    However I note measurements are in cups.
    What does this equate to in grams and liquid

    I love you website! I’ve just found it via Essena Oneil’s instagram and its amazing i can’t wait to try your recipes. My friend has the app and keeps raving about how amazing it is except my parents won’t let me get it because its too expensive its so frustrating cause i really want it. Is there any chance you are decreasing the price any time soon?x

      Hi Sophia. Sadly the price won’t change, it’s really not expensive for over 100 recipes, five different sets of meal and detox plans and months of hard work. Apps are also incredibly expensive to make! I hope you understand x

    Hi Ella, thank you for making this blog with all the helpful information. I just had a quick question for you, if you were on a very limited budget per month, and could only afford to buy a few foods in bulk what do you think you would prioritize eating to stay healthy?

      Hi. I would focus on seasonal veggies, grains like brown rice, dried beans/lentils/chickpeas and things like tahini and tamari to add flavour! x


    I love your recipes on your blog, do u have a book of them? I would be willing to pay for that : ) It’s very tedious to go in and print out every recipe one by one.
    Please lmk if you have a pdf of the recipes and if I can pay for that.

    I would like to know if there is a way to have contact with Ella. My daughter, 18, also suffers from POTS. It would be so nice for her to connect with you for support as she struggles through college with the debilitating effects of living with POTS.

    Just read the Philosophy section. My daughter attended a Pain Clinic @ Mayo in Rochester, Minnesota, USA, almost 2 years ago, and while it helped her through some of the difficulties and had its’ place, the methods aren’t helping at this time.
    She has started a nutritional supplement program – Xyngular – that has amazing whole food component ingredients.
    This is our nutrition start, as she has new gastro symptoms.

    Hello from Michigan! Can you tell me, how do your dishes like Creamy Banana buckwheat porridge store in the refrigerator for a couple days? Or do you suggest eating most of your dishes right away. I am a nursing student and don’t have time to cook daily but can make a few dishes at a time and take them to go and eat throughout the week : ) LOVE THE SITE and APP.

      They store really well, just keep them in an airtight container and then when you want to eat it just heat it up in a sauce pan with a little extra liquid :)

I’m a twenty year-old from Portugal and today I made for breakfast the Cinnamon, Date and Blueberry Smoothie from your App (with stawberries instead of raspberries) and it was probably the best of my life! Thank you and thank you for all the inspiration, you are amazing and your App is worth the money, for the recipes and also as a way of thanking you for changing lives :)
    Just have one question: can we expect to lose some weight with the detox plan you offer there?

    Hi Ella,

    I use both the blog and the app for recipes, obviously the app is fantastic for when I’m shopping and need a quick reminder of ingredients. I wanted to mention though, the recipe on the app for Nutritious Nutella calls for roasting the hazelnuts not soaking like the recipe on the blog does. After reading the comments I came to the conclusion that the recipe on the app must be for your older recipe. Do you update the recipes on the app or plan to?

    I’m making the nutella for the first time tonight, my cacao powder should be arriving from amazon today, can’t wait to try it! I’m hoping it will satisfy my sweet tooth which has been crazy since eliminating all sugar, white flour, etc.

    Hi Ella, I love your recipes so much. You have really inspired and excited me to cook and experiment in the kitchen. I am a vegetarian, but I love the vegan recipes too- its definitely helped with my health and general well being :)

    I have you APP- it hasn’t been updated for ages since it first came out right? It would be so amazing to have all you latest efforts on the APP especially when its grocery shopping time, however I have cooked everything off it! Please add more to it!

    I recently downloaded your app and it is amazing! There are lots of great recipes!
    I tried a few times your superfood almond butter cups, but at the end it is always too sticky to get out of the cupcake form and I they need much longer in the freezer than 40min.. I was wondering if I took the wrong honey for 1/2 cup?

    I am new to your app but as an ibs sufferer, I was excited to try some new ideas.
    I love everything I have tried so far and am now a total spiralising convert!
    There are a couple if recipes where I have noticed that you have mentioned ingredients in the list but not used them in your method. This has led me to making things up a wee bit. But trial and error has made it even more interesting.
