how to enable apple family sharing
since we launched the app, we've had lots of feedback on wanting to share your subscription with family members. We're so pleased to share that this is now possible with Apple Family Sharing! This means only one member of an Apple Family needs to pay for a subscription to the deliciously ella app and the other members can enjoy the content for free.
N.B. This is a feature just for use on iPhones and iPads, it cannot be enabled on desktop or Android devices.
If you are the subscriber, here is how to enable sharing:
- Go to Settings in your iPhone or iPad
- Tap on <Your Name> Apple ID, iCloud, Media & Purchases
- Tap on Subscriptions
- Tap on deliciously ella app here – the app here must be under ACTIVE subscriptions
- On the deliciously ella Edit Subscription page, you can see ‘Share with Family’ toggle option: turn this to ‘on’.
Success, you are now sharing your subscription with your family! If you want to check this:
- Go back to your Apple ID page
- Tap ‘Family Sharing’
- Under Shared with your Family’ you’ll see ‘Monthly Subscription’ or ‘Yearly Subscription’ deliciously ella and it’ll say ‘Shared by Me’. For your other family members, this will say ‘Shared by <Your Name>’.
If you want to share another family member’s subscription:
- firstly, check the DE subscription is being shared by a family member
- Go to Settings on your iPhone or iPad
- Tap on <Your Name> Apple ID, iCloud, Media & Purchases
- Tap on Family Sharing and see deliciously ella there
- Next, download deliciously ella app from the app store
- Create an account
- if you’ve already used the app in the past, you’ll be signed in straight away
- Open the app and enjoy!
