If you’re looking for a sweet, creamy smoothie to have for breakfast or post workout then this is exactly what you need! The mix of frozen banana, peanut butter and brown rice milk give it a wonderful sweetness and milkshake like consistency, while the hemp seeds boost your protein intake and the spinach gives you a great portion of leafy greens. So you should feel nourished and satisfied after every sip of this beautiful drink!

Ingredients:

1 frozen banana

1/2 cup/200ml of brown rice milk (I like brown rice milk as it’s naturally really sweet, but you can also use any other kind of plant based milk)

1-2 tablespoons of peanut butter

1 large handful of spinach (50g)

1 tablespoon of shelled hemp seeds, or hemp powder

Method:

Start by peeling and slicing the banana and then freezing for about two hours or overnight.

Once the banana has frozen, place the banana and the rest of the ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth!

Note: I peel and chop all my ripe bananas and just leave them in the freezer to use for smoothies. It makes the smoothie creamier and stops any banana wastage!
