feel better by de FAQs
Do you have a question about using the feel better by de app? Or about our new subscription plans?
Read through our FAQs below. If you can’t find an answer to your question, please email the team. We’re here to help.
1. How do I access the feel better app on desktop?
You’ll need one of our all-access subscription plans to access the app’s content on your laptop or desktop. You cannot access the app on desktop without upgrading. If you’re a new subscriber, you’ll only see the all-access plans so as long as you’re subscribed you’ll be able to use the app anytime, anywhere.
2. How do I upgrade my existing subscription to all-access?
This is super easy – just open the feel better app on your phone/tablet and go to profile > manage subscription. Change your plan to an all-access plan from just £2.33/month on our yearly plan.
3. How do I sign up to the feel better by de app?
We have a brand new way to sign up to the app which is on desktop. Simply head to subscription.deliciouslyella.com and get started with your 7 day free trial.
4. Does Apple Family Sharing still work?
If you have an existing subscription that uses family sharing, this will remain, however we can no longer offer this for new subscribers or anyone who does not already have family sharing implemented on their account. We are releasing a new family plan for groups of 2 or more in early 2022.
5. Can I do the classes on a bigger screen?
On the mobile and tablet apps, you can use Chromecast or AirPlay to do classes on a bigger screen. The best experience for this though is using the app on desktop to go full screen on your laptop or desktop – this is the main reason we decided to bring the app to desktop! Make sure you have an ‘all-access’ subscription plan to login on your computer.
Meal plan FAQs
Are the meal plans available on the basic app plan or do I have to upgrade to all access?
Our meal plans and the recipes included within them are only available in the all access plan. This is due to the amount of additional resources required to create these plans on an ongoing basis, we have four plans for January and will continue to share monthly plans after that. We hope you understand and still agree that even at its most expensive – £3.99 a month – it is still amazing value and incomparable to anything else on the market. The yearly plan will always give you best value, working out at £2.33 a month.
Will I only get new recipes on the all access plan from now on?
Not at all! Anyone on the original 99p-a-month-plan will still get weekly recipes, movement classes, mindfulness and sleep tools as usual. It’s just the new premium content that will be only for all access subscribers, including the new meal plan recipes, nutritional labelling, nutrition articles and the upcoming wellness courses (launching in the spring).
How do I upgrade my plan to get all access, and how do I know what plan I’m currently on?
Simply open your app and tap on the meal plan module on the homescreen or the recipes tab. When you click ‘start meal plan’ a pop-up will be triggered that will allow you to upgrade in one simple tap.
How many people do the meal plan recipes serve?
Each recipe within the meal plan serves 1, you can easily scale the recipes up if you’re doing them with a friend or family member.
Do I have to do all the recipes in the plan?
Not at all! We have provided breakfast, lunch, dinner and a snack a day, but absolutely appreciate that plans change and you’re out and about more than you had planned. These recipes are intended to give you inspiration for nutritionally balanced, delicious and simple meals that can be incorporated into everyday life – if you go out and therefore miss a meal / day, that is fine. We just hope you enjoy them and realise how delicious and nutritionally balanced plant-based recipes can be.
Will the meal plans work if I’m in the office or short on time?
We’ve taken a lot of time to ensure the meal plans are as easy as possible, using clever hacks and leftovers across the week to minimise cooking.
What equipment will I need?
We’ve tried to keep equipment to a minimum, however you will need a blender for the sauces and dips (we use a Nutribullet), as well as a loaf tin.
Is there an ingredient list and a shopping list?
Yes, there is an ingredient list for each meal-plan and each individual recipe. We’ve worked hard to make each plan minimise as much waste as possible, so if one recipe calls for half a tin of chickpeas, the other half will be used later in the week. If you choose not to do certain recipes in the week, you may find yourself with some leftovers, but we use the same ingredients across the app so it’ll be easy to use them up.
Do they include calories?
Each day of the meal plan contains 1,800-2,000 calories, we don’t include calorie information per recipe but it has been calculated to ensure it’s balanced and healthy.
Will they have nutritional values?
We have added nutritional labelling across our recipes to call out recipes higher in protein, iron, fibre etc. We hope this supports you in making informed decisions on what to eat to meet your dietary needs. These labels are available on the all access plan, as part of the increased nutritional support.
We have calculated the macro and micro-nutrients covered in all of the meal plans and each individual meal, these have been approved by a nutritionist. As with the calorie count, however, we don’t publish the breakdown for each meal or each day to ensure that the plans don’t become about obsessively counting numbers, which we feel is detrimental to our total health.
Can I make small swaps to the recipes/ingredients and still have a balanced diet?
Small swaps should have a minimal impact, and it’s worth remembering that what we eat across a given week, month or year is more important than a single meal. If you don’t have an ingredient or want to swap like for like that should work well, e.g. peanut butter for almond butter, frozen blueberries for frozen mixed berries, chickpeas for butter beans.
Are the meal plans seasonal?
We have prioritised seasonal ingredients for the northern hemisphere, e.g. our January plan uses lots of root veg, cauliflower, kale, broccoli etc. We do, however, have users all over the world and need to take them into account so we have included some non-seasonal items in the plan e.g. an avocado and tomatoes. As always, you can substitute ingredients to make the recipes work for you.
Can I restart or end the meal plan?
Yes you can. You can do this at the bottom of the day view screen in the meal plan
Are they suitable for children?
We have designed them for adults, but you can of course adapt them or use specific recipes from the plan – recipes like the veg bread in week one and the one-pan creamy spinach pasta in week three are great for children.
Are they suitable for pregnant women
They’re not designed especially for pregnancy and in pregnancy you do have some specific requirements, which vary by trimester, but you can adapt the recipes to work for you.
