If you’re based in Canada or the USA, you might prefer to use the app with cups and lbs measurements for all our recipes as well as with Americanized English. To do so, simply follow these steps:

Android:

1. Update your app to v2.4 in the Play Store
2. Open the DE app, go to me > settings > language settings 
3. Choose US  

iOS:

1. Update your app to v2.4 in the App Store
2. Open the DE app, go to me > settings > language settings 
3. Choose US and tap ‘Manage’ 
4. This will open the Settings app. Tap ‘Language’ and choose English (US)

Please note: if you don’t have a ‘Language’ option in Step 4, you just don’t have multiple languages installed on your device. In order to do this, head to Settings > General > Language & Region and ensure you have more than one language on the list.

Then go back to the DE app and tap “Manage” again then you’ll be able to choose English US.

FAQs:

Q: I can’t see ‘language settings’ in my app

A: No problem, this means you’re using an older app version so update to version 2.4 or higher

Q: I can’t see v2.4 in the App/Play Store yet

A: Apple and Google roll out releases gradually to users so keep checking back if you don’t have automatic updates on

Q: The tab for US goes back to UK every time I go back to the page

A: Remember to tap ‘Manage’ to save your language choice in the app

Q: I’m on the US app but still see ounces

A: No problem, pop to settings > measurements. In the US app you have the option to choose cups or ounces
