    Hi Ella

Thanks so much for all the effort that you put into this amazing website. I went vegan in June 2013 after being vegetarian for about 5 months and am now trying to focus on eating as clean as possible. I want everything I put into my mouth not only to fill me, but also to nourish and support my body. Your website is so inspiring and helpful in this journey! Keep up the good work:)

Ella! I just stumbled upon your blog and found myself dreaming I had an adorable accent to go along with my blog. haha. But in all honesty, what a great site! So well done and you are so creative with your recipes! Can’t wait to try some of them. I’d love to collaborate in the future. I love your approach to healthy eating and your story is amazing. It’s so fun to hear stories of people that have been healed by food. Makes my job as a dietitian that much more rewarding. Can’t wait to add some of your Christmas feast recipes to my recipe book!

  • Inga

Looks great! Just wandering, do the brownies taste very much like sweet potato? I’m not a big fan of sweet potato but love the idea of using them as a binding agent.

    • ellawoodward

You can’t taste the sweet potato at all, it’s amazing!

  • Cherie

Hi Ella. Love your recipes! I’m not a keen lover of dates, however, can I use something else in the recipes such as the chocolate cake recipe to replace the dates? Thanks, Cherie

    • ellawoodward

Sadly not really as they stick the whole thing together, I promise you can’t taste them though!

  • Reya Tobias

    Ella,

I love your blog and the recipes I have tried so far! I can’t wait to try these sweet potato brownies. I was wondering what size of baking dish you used?

Looking forward to trying more of your healthy and creative recipes!!

    Reya
P.s. you should visit Portland, Or and teach a class:)

    • ellawoodward

Hi Reya. So glad that you’re loving the blog, thank you! I’ve made these in so many different sized baking dishes so I don’t think it matters at all the size x

  • http://www.bursill.com Ian Bursill

Stumbled across your site yesterday Ella, and absolutely love your recipes, all very inspirational! Keep up the good work!

  • Mathilde

Love your website. I saw that u cleaned your face with natural ingredients. Can you explain a little how you do that?

    • ellawoodward

I use apple cider vinegar on a cotton pad to cleanse and then moisturise with coconut oil! I also use coconut oil as a hair mask every couple of weeks and use it as a make up remover :)

  • Naila

Please make more videos. I am a visual learner….
    I’m loving them

  • Deborah

    Hi,

I have an severe IBS and cant eat gluten, dairy or insoluble fiber. I love your recipes but notice you use a lot of peas, beans, coconut milk, avocado, mushrooms and a whole load of things I cant eat on my FODMAP diet. Is it possible to follow your lifestyle on a FODMAP diet and do you have recipes?

    Thanks!

    • ellawoodward

Hi Deborah. You are so welcome to modify any of the recipes to work for you, I’m not a huge fan of the fodmap diet and found it very restrictive so I stepped away from it which is why my blog includes all those things but everything is adaptable!

  • Kelsey Corinne

    Ella!
I’ve just found you this week and I am unbelievably thrilled to have come across you. I have knowledge of what foods are best but actually eating only those things everyday has been a struggle. I have drawn so much inspiration from you and your recipes and am ready to start my full on healthy eating journey:)) Can’t wait for the cookbook to come out! Two things I wanted to ask A) I’ve been really into cabbage lately, sauté it with a bit of oil, and eat with tamari, brown rice or quinoa – I was wondering if you ever cooked with it? Would love to know what kind of recipe you’d make with it. And B) I’ve been reading up on black seed oil- and it’s numerous benefits- are you familiar with it, or ways to incorporate it into your diet?
    Thanks so much!

    • ellawoodward

Hi Kelsey. I love cabbage, it’s amazing. I don’t have any recipes on it here though. I love sautéing it with a little tamari and tahini. I don’t know black seed oil but I’m excited to learn more about it – thank you letting me know about it!

  • Lily

    Hi Ella,
First of all WOW.. You must be so proud!
My Mum has just shown me your website/app this morning.. It’s amazing!
I’ve been very ill for the last 4 years and seeing this just makes me feel like there’s hope.
I’m 18 on Sunday and I feel like you’ve given me a new lease of life. I have to depend on a lot of drugs daily and the effects they have on my body are not good. To known that all of this might help is incredible.
Thank you so much.. You’re and inspiration.

    • ellawoodward

Thank you so much Lily, I’m so happy to hear that you feel there’s hope. For more inspiration on healing I couldn’t recommend Kris Carr’s book Crazy Sexy Diet more – it’s all about healing through food and it’s beyond inspiring, it totally changed my life overnight!

  • jessica

Hi Ella. I’m so happy I found your site. I have to say it’s the best thing that could have ever happened to me at this stage in my 18 years of life. I never in a million years thought I would go vegetarian, much less vegan but thanks to you and your creative and surprisingly delicious recipes I’m on my way to a brand new me! I want to thank you for opening my eyes to the wonderful benefits that nature has to offer us and for showing me how to incorporate them into my diet in such an amazing and surprisingly easy way. I’m so happy to hear about your cookbook (which I will definitely be buying) and I wish you all the best in your career and life. Thanks for sharing your life to make ours better. Keep up the impeccable work!

  • Alison

Hey Ella, I was wondering, are you planning on posting new videos anytime soon? I remember seeing some behind the scenes pictures on your Instagram account as you were filming videos for some recipes, but it’s been quite a while… I’m sure you’re very busy with the app and the cookbook though, so I totally understand ! But I love your blog so much that it’s even more exciting to see your recipes in action ! :)

  • Anna

    Hi Ella!

I love your recipes, and the videos are very helpful as well. I was just wondering when and where your next cooking class would be? They look fantastic!

    Thanks!

    Anna

    • ellawoodward

      Hi Anna,

I’m hoping to have the new classes up very soon!

      Ella x

  • Romilly

    Hi Ella,

I was wondering whether you do private cookery classes? We would love to have an intensive two/three day course to learn the basics of cooking the healthy way.

    Hi Ella

Fantastic site and great recipes ! You use almond butter in some of your recipes, do you make your own or have a recipe, as I live in China and getting good natural products is difficult ?

    Thanks
    Tony

    • ellawoodward

      Hi Tony
I make my own – the recipe is on the app.
      Ella

    • ellawoodward

      Hi Tony,
I usually make my own – the recipe is on the app.

  • Tony

    Thanks Ella

I’ve downloaded the app and found the recipe thanks !

  • Konstantin Miech

    Hey Ella,
I love your recipes, they make eating extremely healthy loads of fun!
I’ve tried a few recipes and they were all amazing. But being a student it is quiet difficult to afford to cook your food on a daily basis.
I was just wondering if you could do a few meals with still healthy but for students affordable ingredients.
I would be very grateful. And your site is great!!
    Thanx,
    Konstantin

    • ellawoodward

The best advice for students is to cook up big batches of roasted veg and grains so that you have easy, relatively cheap meals that are convenient to just throw together!

  • http://www.gemakarolina@wordpress.com Gema

    Hi Ella,

I absolutely love your website and your recipes! I’m a vegetarian and am trying to eat more foods that will give me natural energy and make me feel and look better. As a student + wife, I can say that it is difficult, but once you commit to this lifestyle it really should become effortless. Today I found myself buying dates, raw honey, and pink Himalayan salt after watching your videos! Please keep the videos going as I love to get ideas from them.

    All the best,
    Gema

    • ellawoodward

      Hi Gema,
I am so pleased that you are trying to boost your energy this way and I promise it does become muh more effortless!
      Best of luck,
      Ella x

  • Sally Bird

hiya, Ella, I would just like to say thank you, your recipes are brilliant, I’m very keen on learning new healthy recipes that me and my family can eat together as I think it is very important that families do eat together and eat the same foods. as I’m a regular runner I was very interested in the baobab energy balls which are totally amazing and my kids and husband love them too and nickname them Billy bob balls,
I have a sweet tooth do you have any ideas how to make ginger biscuits a bit more healthier.
