I am totally obsessed with this juice this week. I’ve had it every morning so far and wow does it make getting up so much more fun! I go in phases of different flavoured juices but I come back to this one a lot. I just love the combination of carrots, apples, strawberries and ginger. It’s kind of perfect. Deliciously sweet yet not overly sugary, thanks to the veggie input, and with a wonderful ginger fuelled kick.
Not only does each glass of this taste divine, but drinking it everyday will do absolute wonders for your health and energy levels, as juicing allows extra nutrients to be absorbed since it effectively bypasses your need for digestion. Through one glass of this liquid goodness you’ll have absorbed 3 fantastic portions of fruits and vegetables before you’ve even sat down for breakfast, which is pretty awesome. So by the time I’ve had my toast piled high with creamy avocado, lime and tomato I’ve already reached the governments recommended 5-a-day! Not that I’ll stop there though, I try to get 8-10 delicious servings each day to maintain great health.
The other thing I love about juicing, other then how delicious each glass always tastes and how amazing it makes me feel, is how good it makes my skin. I always notice how much brighter and cleaner my skin is when I’m in my juicing routine. It’s awesome! All the anti-oxidants, beta-carroteine and the vitamin A really leave your skin glowing. You are what you eat after all, and this juice is a bucket of goodness.
This particular juice is also amazing if you’re looking to fight off a winter cold and fancy a shake up from your go-to orange juice, as thanks to the strawberries and carrots each glass has almost twice your recommended daily dose of vitamin C, which will leave you happy and healthy all day long. Having some ginger first thing in the morning is also a great idea as it really aids digestion meaning you’re stomach is awake and alert by the time you starting munching!
Makes ones big glass:
- 3 medium to large carrots
- 2 red apples (they’re sweeter than green)
- 1 cup of strawberries
- a knob of ginger
Simply put all the ingredients into the juicer and you’re good to go!
Top tip – juice the ginger at the same time as the apples or carrots to get maximum flavour out of it!
Sip and enjoy.

Would you mind sharing your juicing routine please? What kind of fruit? How long for?
I try to juice once a day, either pre-breakfast or as an afternoon snack. I’ve never done a juice cleanse or anything as I need the energy that my food gives me. I tend to mainly eat veggies in the day so try to get some fruit in in the morning so I’ll make a juice like this or an apple, kiwi, pear and ginger. Hope you enjoy this one!
I have been juicing for a week now. It is amazing and does wonderful things to the body! Especially with digestion because of POTS I would get very symptomatic every time I would eat something – for some reason the effort of digestion was just too much. I am a HUGE advocate for juicing!
That’s the main reason why I love juicing, it helps so much with all my POTs symptoms too and just gives me great energy all round. So glad to have found a fellow POTS juicer! Enjoy
